Clever did not know why he felt the road they had taken was so long to get to Miller.

Reason to make him more nervous.

What if the Jace was there?

What if he sees the man with so much wound again?

He had so many what ifs, but even one there he did not know what the answer was.

However, it was impossible for Miller to hurt it, because if he believed what his cousin and Renon told him Jace was important. 

Nevertheless, if Miller and Knox have a same thought, did he will do an experiment with it?

What if when he got there Miller was already able to make Jace as his mate?

"I can't let that happen, no." Clever whispered to himself. Jace, Mate of another werewolf? I do not think he can accept that. I wish he had already marked it if that was what was going to happen.
