Chapter Six

Bella slept on Jasper's bed with him. She kept looking at his face till she fell asleep. The storm made things easier for her. Jasper hugged her due to her fear, she felt very happy about it.

They didn't talk much after dinner as Jasper was very tired. Bella's main goal was to spend the night beside him even if they do nothing together. And Jasper being a gentleman did nothing to her, or perhaps he doesn't find her attractive?

Morning came and Jasper woke up when his alarm rang. He stretched his hands opening his eyes only to find Bella gone. He thought that perhaps she was in the bathroom but she wasn't. He decided to take his bath and go out. He met his mother and sister getting ready for breakfast as usual.

There was no sign of Bella. He went back to his room to properly dress up, he found a note under his pillow finally.

~If you found this, I already went home. I didn't want to wake you up. Thanks for the hospitality, I'll see you later. Bella~

He smiled in satisfaction, at least he knows what happened to her now. He dressed up and went back to the table for breakfast. Stephanie was waiting with a lot of questions as usual. She knows about her brother and Bella staying together last night. Surely, something must have happened between them.

"Tell us already Jasper." She demanded in frustration when Jasper didn't say anything at the table.

He raised a brow in inquiry, "Tell you about what? I don't understand where you're going sister."

"You and Bella, together last night... I want to know everything. You're courting her now right? You guys don't need to pretend anymore."

Miranda faced Jasper with interest, "Is she your girlfriend now Jasper?"

"Mom! She's just a close friend of mine. She has never talked about things like that and I don't disrespect her." He protested while stuffing food in his mouth.

"But it's obvious she likes you. You can't deny that fact." Stephanie added.

He got up, "I am late for work. I think I'll see you guys later or never today."

He ran out of the house before they could ask him anymore questions. He took a cab to the mansion, he was right on time. Raina was coming outside with another girl who looks a bit like her. The girl stopped on seeing him, her jaw fell open.

"Oh. My. Cuteness!" She squealed.

"Good morning Miss Williams." He bowed respectively.

"Wow! Are you her new driver?" The girl asked him.

He nodded, "Yes Miss..."

"Call me Freida. I am Raina's sister." She introduced shaking his hands and staring into his blue eyes.

Raina rolled her eyes, "I think we should start going now. I have more important things to do."

Freida glared at her, "Party pooper. You better be ready to explain this when you come back!"

Then she faced him, "I hope we can see next time. We have a lot to discuss."

"It would be an honor beautiful Miss." He flattered her.

"Are you going or not!" Raina yelled from the car.

"Excuse me please." Jasper politely said and got into the car.

"You're so annoying Raina." Freida stomped into the mansion. She really wanted a chance to talk to Raina's new driver but she won't allow it.

"Mom, dad, did you see Raina's new driver?"

Sir Edwardo sprang up, "What? She fired Miller already?"

"No dad. She got herself a personal driver. I guess we have Mr Miller to ourselves." Freida corrected.

Madam Diane sighed, "At least she took time to take care of herself. I'll be at ease knowing she has a good driver to drive her instead of driving herself."

"Yeah mom. And the driver's so cute. He is well built and strong, you should meet him dad."

Sir Edwardo nodded, "I will arrange a meeting with him later to know what kind of person he is."

"Dad, you sound like you want to interrogate her future husband. He's an employee not a date candidate."

"You shouldn't say things you don't know Freida. Your father is only looking out for your sister's safety."

Freida rolled her eyes and left for her room. She decided not to go to work today but rather go out for some shopping.

~Williams Corporation~

Jasper parked the car in the garage and left for Raina's office. Kelvin didn't give him a welcoming shoulder as usual. That didn't bother Jasper at all. He followed Raina as instructed and watched over her well.

Raina was less grumpy for the day as she seemed to have less work today. Less work meant she would be going home early tonight.

By evening, she closed early and he drove her home. The day seemed to get better for him. At least they are starting to understand each other, or so he thinks.

He took a cab back home, this time coming on time for dinner. He ate dinner and retired to his room afterwards. Work is not stressful yet he is very tired.

Watching over a nagging arrogant woman like that can make you lose a lot of weight. He fell asleep in no time, due to his tiredness.

~Next Morning~

Raina got up early as always and prepared herself for work. She thought about her bodyguard and felt he was too distant. He should be closer to her so she can have access to his services. She went downstairs to have breakfast, her family is complete this time. Guess Freida and Sam have not argued yet.

"Morning mom and dad." She said sitting down.

"You're not in a hurry right?" Madam Diane asked her.

"Why do you ask mom?" Raina replied with a question.

Madam Diane frowned, "I only asked you a question. And you replied with another question. What is wrong with you?"

"Her new driver has gotten into her head. She's shoeing off to everyone now." Freida said.

"New driver? Did she fire someone again?" Sam asked not surprised at his sister's mood.

"No. She got a personal driver and he's damn hot." Freida replied.

"Freida!" Madam Diane scolded.

"He is my new bodyguard and not whatever you are thinking he is. That can never happen and you know that." Raina told them.

"I don't mind that happening. That man is to die for." Freida emphasized.

"I will force a full chicken into your mouth if you don't stop talking Freida!" Madam Diane threatened making her shut up immediately.

"Why didn't you tell us about your new driver or whatever he is. You could have told your dad you needed one and he'll get you one."

"There is no need to tell you anything since I already hired him. Besides he's saved my life twice between two days."

"Yeah, but you are never considerate and you disregard people's feelings. How come you gave him a job just because of that?" Sam asked.

Raina had gotten enough breakfast. She got up and headed outside ignoring her brother's question. She used that as an opportunity to escape their numerous questions.

She met Jasper already waiting for her in front of the car. She felt moved instantly, but she did well in hiding her expression from him.

"Good morning Miss Williams." He bowed again.

"We're going to some places later on. I hope you're ready to go with me, or do I do something about it myself?"

"I have no idea what you're talking about but all I can say is that I'll go with you wherever you're going. That's my job after all. You don't need to tell me what to do." He cut her off.

"Yeah. You can shut up and stop bothering me already"

She got into the car, looking at the outside, she saw him waiting outside the car instead of getting in.

"You don't always expect me to beg you to get in, do you?" She said.

He got into the car and started driving.

"You came quite late today. I think you need to be closer to me. That way, I won't have to wait so long for you to arrive."

Jaspers eyes are focused on the road, he glanced at her through the mirror.

"What do you propose we do Miss Williams?" He asked.

"Move into the mansion." She blurted out.

Jasper shook his head in disagreement.

"I don't think that is possible ma'am."

"Why isn't it possible? Aren't you my bodyguard who is supposed to protect me at all times?" She scoffed.

He nodded, "Yes. But we never agreed on living with you. You only said my services would be needed once you are outside that mansion."

"I never told you that. You don't have to tell me what to do. I am your boss after all and that's what I want. What if I have an emergency by midnight? Do I have to keep waiting for you?"

Emergency by midnight? What sort of wish is that? This woman was ready to argue with him and not willing to give up. That made him feel tired, he decided to accept. Though it is awkward living with the family, it's going to be hard for his family to accept this. Yeah, they're his main concern.

"I will accept under a condition."

Raina couldn't believe her ears. Her employee giving her a hard time and setting conditions for her like he has the right to.

"What condition?" She asked suspicious.

"I have to stay at home by weekend. I have a family you know, they will want to see me once in a while."

He has a family? Raina wasn't expecting that he would be married. He doesn't look or act like a married man, this made Raina more curious about him. But she has no time to investigate him yet, she plans to do it later on.

"I work during the weekend too. Are you saying I'm on my own during those days?"

"No. Only a day off to sleep at home. That's what I meant."

Raina scrunched her face thinking about what he meant. He wants to stay home for a night at least so he can spend time with his wife. That made her feel uneasy, she hardly understands why she feels this way.

"I'll grant your request. But that won't stop me from calling you in future. I don't know what it holds yet."

Jasper didn't say anything else. He keeps wondering what kind of human Raina is that all she wants to do is work. She doesn't even have time for socializing or other things.

He's also heard that she is not in any relationship. Mostly because she turned her suitors down, and some because of her arrogance.

"How can a lady be made with a stone heart?" He thought.

He stopped at the company as always and parked at the garage. He talked to the security men a bit, he was getting very popular amongst all the workers. Especially the ladies, they would come check him out during lunch break to see him. Most of the giving him flirty looks, sometimes making him uncomfortable.

He got to the office and met Stella at her desk as usual.

"Good morning beautiful." He said to her.

Stella blushed tucking her hair behind her ear, "Oh Mr Smith, you make me feel flattered. You know I am not that beautiful."

"Why would you say that? You are very beautiful inside and out. It is not about being beautiful for show, your heart has to be pretty too. I can't say that about some people honestly."

Stella knew he was talking about Raina. She wanted to say something when Kelvin arrived. He faced Jasper with a serious expression.

"I need to talk to you." Kelvin said.

Jasper pretended to be good with him. He gave a foul smile.

"A good morning to you too Mr Greene. May I know to what I owe this honor of talking to you this early?" He asked.

"It is about you, I am sure you don't want me talking about your private life in front of people. Are you coming or not?"
