August's POV

I got up from the bed. I was surprised because Cayden suddenly appeared in the room. But why am I still surprised? He can do that.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him. I can't stop myself from being nervous. My hands are cold. His mere presence makes my heart beat erratically.

Cayden smiled which is very rare when he is in a crowd. No matter how funny the surroundings are, it still has a poker face. Did I mention that his smile is priceless? I wanted no one else to see that smile, aside from me.

"Is it too bad, if I want to see you?" It was a gentle question that caused my hair to stand on end. Why is that? I feel like he's attracting me!
