Chapter fourteen

She carefully rose from the bed, encircling herself in the thick blanket, and made her way to the balcony, where Caspian was standing and looking solemnly up at the sky.

"Did I do something wrong?" She asked, tilting her head.

"Maybe." Caspian replied without looking at her.

"Tell me if I did something." Mona insisted. She stared at him with full interest and smiled unconsciously at the wind that blew his hair back.

Perfection.

She wished she could read his mind because of his ominously glittering ruby eyes. Had she really done something wrong? Was it as a result of his suspicions that she had tried suicide?

"Do you think you did something wrong?" Caspian questioned her as he turned to face her and raised an eyebrow.

"Well..." She trailed, her lips pursed. "Yes."

Caspian smiled and gave her his full attention. "Why did you do that?"

"I have no idea; you tell me." She answered.

He moved closer to her, nodding. "Don't you wish you could retrieve your memories?"
