Marie blushed and nodded,

"I swear, those words were never uttered in this room. It was a fragment of my delusion; I mean a figment of my imagination. That's my story and I'm sticking to it."

Marie giggled and hugged her.

"Honestly, if, and I stress that part, if, he ever comes back, we will face him together and he'll have to accept it, that I have found another person to love."

Elena looked into Marie's eye when she said it.

Marie shuddered.

"God! Elena, after what you told me about him, I'm not sure I would want to face him. You said that he spoke to you in your mind, does that mean he can manipulate you as well?"

Elena kissed the end of Marie's nose. Marie beamed.
