Chapter 79 - Cornered
Sian FlemingSorry for the delay, the last few days have been hectic. Also my favourite anime (Attack on titan) came to an end and I've been crying on/off all day because the storyline was incredible. I love stories that hit that hard, but the gut punch does take a few days to wear off! Anyone else felt that way about a story ending or a particular scene?

Maddie kept her eyes closed as consciousness roused like a lazy cat in the back of her mind. Her body tensed, waiting for the onslaught of aches and pains, but they were dulled. “Easy there.” Daniel placed a hand on Maddie’s shoulder, keeping her sat on the bed. “You’ve only just woken from such a long sleep.” From the way he drawled, his smirk sickly sweet, she knew they had given her something.
