Chapter Twenty-Six

Alex's demeanor was still withdrawn over the following week. No matter what anyone tried or said, it seemed she forced or faked every smile or laugh. Danny was worried, as was his wolf. It wasn't good for either of them to have their mate this miserable. He wasn't able to concentrate on school, and his wolf couldn't focus on tracking.
