What in the world was wrong with this man? One minute he would be so caring, and the very next he would have this constant scowl resting on his face as if I had asked him for both of his kidneys. Could werewolves even survive without both? Or did they need at least one of them to be functioning properly like humans?

I shook the weird thoughts off as I continued to follow him. Given his height, I had to take two steps to cover one of his. Why didn't I accept Hannah's offer while it was still on the table? Sitting in my room back at the packhouse would have been so much better than following him to God knows where. The trail we were following seemed like a never ending dirt track, one which was barely ever used. At least that was all I could tell from the looks of it. I had already questioned him a million times over by now about where we are heading since we started this trail, but the man refused to give me a single clue.
