Cillian “Roland! Roland! Stop you dogs! Aaahhh!!!” Miss Bethany’s shrilling scream reverberates in the shadows of the night. “You were supposed to make sure I was untouchable, you fucking bitch!” Back in his human form, Beta Roland watches as one of his werewolves maul Miss Bethany’s legs, but not completely killing her off so that she could continue to suffer. I leap towards Roland, shifting into my wolf mid-air. I groan when I see several wolves advance my way ready to sacrifice their lives for the wicked beta while he makes a run for it. Feeling the heat on my face, I know that my eyes are flashing red, glimmering in the dark, making the werewolves hesitate to attack. As soon as I sense Gunner’s wolf next to me, we do not waste any second and immediately lunge at the enemies before they could come up with a strategy to overthrow me and my future beta. In my wolf form, I pummel my body to the tallest and heaviest wolf. Not giving him a chance to recover, I sink my sharp fangs

One second I was ripping a werewolf’s heart out of his chest, the next, a hundred of rogue wolves descended on us, pushing back the Alpha King’s Special Forces who were essentially serving as the front liners in the battle. They’ve been providing a wall of protection for our pack against the feral wolf army. Reagan, Gisella, the red wolf princess, and four of the wolf-witches formed a semi-circle to hem in the children and protect them from incoming adversaries. Meanwhile the other half of the circle upfront is guarded by Gio and the Special Forces while clearing and leading the way to the exit trail. Kayleigh and Kinsley are inside the ring, directing and guiding
Cillian The rancid smell of blood deepens as lifeless bodies turn frigid on the ground. Echoes of howls and growls breaking through the woods signal more count to the beta’s private army. The sound of fighting werewolves tearing each other apart can be heard across the ranch. It’s only been over an hour but the blood spilled here is the most blood I’ve seen in my lifetime. None of all these matter to me right now. All I care about is getting to my mate and my pup. Kayleigh is bleeding. She’s hurt. They’re hurt. I cannot forgive myself if something happens to either of them. Still gripping both weapons with each hand, Kayleigh inspects the blood dribbling down to her ankles. The sight of blood on her skin weakens my knees, but I will myself not to stop running. Instead, I push myself harder, faster, and steadier. I pummel my body through a mob of beasts trying to stop me from reaching my mate. I keep my eyes on Kayleigh while I chant a prayer for her to be strong and safe. Alarm
Hey, lovelies! I hope you guys are doing well. I would like to apologize for not updating chapters for more than a week now. We're back to school and that means we’re also back doing all their extra-curricular activities (soccer, basketball, voice lessons, anime drawing classes, etc…). I’ve been super busy mommy-ing for the past two weeks, you guys. I’m already wishing it’s school break again hahaha. I want to let you guys know that I have not abandoned the book and will not leave my readers hanging. I just need some time to get my family back in schedule. I pretty much just let winged it during summer break. As you know, the last chapter was very intense. I’m working on the next 2 chapters so that I can drop them at the same day to keep the momentum going. I’m hoping that I’ll be in the right headspace to continue writing very soon. I do want to know if you have any questions so far. Just drop your questions to the comments and I’ll definitely come back to answer them.
Kayleigh The intensity of my heart beat feels like it’s about to hammer out of my chest. I catch a glimpse of Cillian, Andrei, and Gunner wrestling a horde of feral wolves. Gisella and I exchange worried looks while we battle against our own attackers and fight to survive. I keep an eye on our friends and allies, ready to lend a hand to anyone who needs back up. I spring in the air to stab my dagger into a rogue wolf’s heart before slitting the throats of two other werewolves as my feet land on the ground. Attacks are coming left and right and I’m trying very hard to keep up even though all I want to do is curl up in a corner and nestle in Cillian’s arms to seek refuge from my distraught heart. The realization that my baby is at risk is clawing at the edge of my thoughts. Blood rushes over my head and the nerves from my neck all the way to my forehead tighten as I feel another faint trickle of blood down my thighs. A few minutes ago, the healer asked if I was okay. I lied. I w
Kayleigh “What do you want, Roland?” Cillian repeats in a snarl. “Oh, now that I involve the baby you finally ask me what I want. You don’t think I know? You don’t think no one heard you while you were talking about it during your little rendezvous at the bridge? I should have started with the bundle of joy conversation,” Roland smites. Although I don’t see his face behind me, I hear the threatening snigger from his voice as he lightly pokes my belly with my own blade. My heart beat is drumming its battle cry. My mind is running amok. My baby is in even more danger now and I’m not going to stand by. I peer at my lover’s striking but indignant expression as I slowly inhale deeply. Cillian’s head moves slightly to peer at the dagger pointing at my belly before his red Alpha eyes meet mine. It was just a split of a second gaze but one I needed. For some reason, his protective glance provides a sense of security. Letting me know that he shares my anger, fear, and helplessness. “
Kayleigh My voice echoes through the moonlit night like a loud ethereal boom, rendering all wolf bloods unmoving in shock. As for the rogue wolves and beta’s army, they are frozen in their places, held prison by my will, unable to move even if they want to. Just how I intended it to be. Understanding that the imminent emergence of my wolf puts our side at an advantage, Gio and Andrei start directing orders to take the opportunity to subdue our adversaries. Like a slow motion scene in a movie, I fix my eyes to the crimson-blood eyes that are looking straight at me with so much love and admiration. A wave of warmth dawns over me, making my knees weak as I marvel at the sight of my lover… my man…my Alpha. And the love of my life. “Mate!” The word leaves my mouth as soon as I lock stares with Cillian. A word I’ve been wanting to say to broadcast to the world that this man, this alpha, is mine… as I am his. “Mate!” His response beckons my whole attention, my whole body, and my wh
Cillian Engulfed with emotions brought by witnessing the beginning of Kayleigh shifting into her wolf, watching her unleash her Alpha Luna essence on our adversaries, and experiencing the sensations brought by tethering our past, present, and future as fated mates, I stare into Kayleigh’s once ocean blues now turned crimson reds. The blazing eyes of an Alpha Luna. The windows to my fated mate’s soul. Two orbs that can captivate and disable me just with a single stare. “My mate, my Alpha!” Hearing her stake her claim on me awakens every carnal nerve in my body. “My mate, my Luna!” I proclaim, hoping she hears the eagerness in my voice to take her home, finish this mating bond, and give her the mating mark. I’ve known that this moment will be emotional for her, but I wasn’t expecting to feel these overwhelming sensations myself. The exact emotions are hard to describe, but they’re akin to falling in love, to coming home after being lost for so long, or to holding someone
