I run down the stairs unable to contain the excitement inside me. My mother is one of my best friends. I cannot wait to see her. I reached the receiving room in no time and I can feel a jolt of happiness as soon as I lay my eyes on my beautiful mom’s face.

I run towards her and jump in her embrace without even noticing that a sob has escaped my lips.

“I actually don’t know. Your dad was summoned by the wolf blood council and we didn’t waste any time worried that it has something to do with you. When you weren’t picking up our calls, your dad immediately had our staff ready the jet. Is everything okay, darling? Breanna called the other day. How are you feeling?
