Chapter 37

Styx walked into Theo's room, staring at the man that was standing at the balcony with a cigarette in his hand. He stood still, watching him place the cigarette between his lips and taking a long draw from it which made him furrow his brows in confusion.

"You quit smoking," he said, joining Theo on the balcony.

"Some habits just don't die, you know?" Theo responded, his lips curving into a sad smile.

Styx stared into Theo's eyes, noticing the sadness in them. He removed his eyes, staring at the stars to hide how broken he was.

For the past years now, he had been caught up in his pasts. He couldn't help but blame himself for everything that happened. It was his fault after all, he fell in love with the wrong woman who not only ruined him but also killed his family.

He had been selfish and had only thought of his pain, forgetting that his friend, his best friend, was also hurt.

"I'm...sorry," he apologized, fisting his knuckles tightly. Maybe after all, what he truly needed to let go
