Vivian sat on the edge of her bed with a novel in her hand. Her hair was tied into a tight pony, with few strands on her face. Her eyes were void of emotions but deep down her mind was in chaos.

She held the novel tightly in her hand, fisting her knuckles. She closed the book, throwing it to the floor. Her mind was fuming with anger and the more she recalled what happened in the novel, the more she couldn't contain her anger.

She stood up, walking in the direction of the balcony. She kept her gaze on the stars and soon enough tears fell profusely from her eyes.

At that moment, she wanted to be with her mother. She wished her mother was right beside her and more than anything she needed someone to cry her eyes too. She wiped the tears from her face, digging her fingers into her flesh.

'When did I become like this?' she mused frustratedly.
