Chapter 63 FREE THEM

HERMIONE'S POV

I couldn't help but glance at those pitiful innocent people who were being locked inside of the basement. Some of them were lying on the ground and who knows if they were still breathing or not? Some of them kept on crying and most of them were lifelessly staring at the door.

“Free them, Phoenix. I'll deal with finding Jacques.” I said while tapping his shoulder and climbed off from him.

I saw his brows furrowed and shook his head. Most of the bandits who were guarding this place were already taken down by Phoenix's subordinates.

“No.” He refused without hesitation.

I frowned at him. “There's no time, Phoenix. If the leader of the bandits had found out that something was strange and that we managed to enter his stolen territory, for sure that he would harm Jacques... much worse, he would kill him for sure.”

“Still, I can't let you get hurt by an insignificant being, Hermione. Your life is more important and cannot be measured by their lives.” Phoenix said while looking
