16 ~ He Knows

Cassandra POV

This place looked so big and scary. My sight fell on the big shelves inside the room and I took a few further steps slowly.

My heart beats were fast as I inhaled the mild warm smell of old wood and ink. The atmosphere was warm compared to the chamber. The lighting was dim as if only a few candles were burning. But, I wondered who was there this early morning.

I took a few steps further slowly and noticed that there was dark brown stone flooring under me. It felt cold to walk.

I shifted my gaze from the floor to the shelves. I gulped nervously as my sight fell on the rolled clothes placed neatly on the shelves.

They seem like documents and books. The shelves were made of old dark brown wood and it felt slightly warm to touch. The much I could see now was the same. Shelves and documents in the whole room.

I walked further inside the room and my sight fell on a big stone table on which a cloth was neatly placed open.

I thinned my eyebrow
