CHAPTER 158

Shawn’s POV

As we walked back to the Blood Moon Pack camp, Martins couldn't resist poking fun at me about what had happened in the cabin.

"Shawn, you should have seen yourself, you were like a deer in lights," he teased, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. "I thought your eyes would pop out of your head."

I rolled my eyes, trying to brush it off. "Martins, give it a rest. It was a tense situation, alright? I don’t know why my wolf felt threatened,"

He laughed, clearly enjoying himself. "Yeah, but you should have seen your face! You looked like you were about to bolt."

"Okay, okay," I conceded, holding my hands in mock surrender. "Maybe I overreacted a bit. But hopefully, you will not get to see me in such a scenario again."

Martins nodded, his grin fading to a more serious expression. “Hopefully,"

“Shadowvale should not hear of what happened,” I said as we neared the camp.

“As always,” He replied.

We arrived back at the camp, the familiar sights and sounds of the Blood Moon
