Lily's POV

As we walked away from the garden, I was gladdened at the turn of events. I needed to speak to him and he only made it easier.

But as we walked, neither of us said anything. We endured an awkward silence in our journey from the garden back into the house and straight to Marcus's room.

As we entered, he closed and locked the room to avoid any intrusion or distraction.
