Edward stood still, his hands behind his back and Emily, his wife, standing next behind him. His eyes were on his father-in-law, the Baron Dewhurst, who had walked into the church and sat down on the pew. His heart had stopped pounding and he felt at peace.

There wasn't going to be any fighting... for now.

"I'm sorry I thought that you were lying," Her Grace said in a small whisper as she leaned close to Edward. "I'm sorry for not believing what you said."

"It's alright," Edward whispered back. "I am actually a little bit surprised myself that he showed up."

Emily frowned as she heard Edward's words but then she quickly wiped it off and replaced it with a smile as she noticed that her father was watching the both of them.

She leaned closer to him, a fake smile on her face as she asked, "why? Why are you surprised? I thought he informed you of his coming. Why then are you surprised if he did?"

Edward paused and began thinking of what to tell her. He had not expected this kind of quest
