34. His Proposition

MORGANA

I glared at him, knocking his hand away, hating the tingles that he left on my lips.

"Don’t touch me." I hissed, slamming my fork on the table as I pushed my chair out and stood up crossing my arms.

"Morgana." His deep voice was low, I did my best to ignore the way it made me feel.

I turned my back on him, right now I didn’t want to see the arrogant jerk. I felt the heat from his body behind me and I quickly turned around, raising a finger in warning.

"Don’t touch me." I warned.

"Morgana, can we talk? Man to woman, without our race, rank or anything else coming in between?" He asked quietly.

"The Alpha King wants to talk?" I scoffed.

"Please."

I narrowed my eyes at him. Now what game was he playing?

"Talk, I'm listening." I said, moving away from him and perching on the windowsill, crossing my legs.

Resisting a roll of my eyes when his eyes trailed over my legs, his eyes flashing gold.

given everything else she mentioned with her people I think Sage should be the least of her concern right now
