Chapter Sixteen

About an hour later, Kiara stepped back into the room, forcing a smile on her face. Maybe she had guessed right what was wrong with her daughter, but she believed that Zoey was a very strong young lady with abilities that she too had yet to discover.

"Hey, what's wrong? What did the doctor say? Is Zoey alright?"

"Yeah, she's fine Lisa. She has asthma, and since it's new to her system, we have to be close to her most of the time, and it was just a little fever her wolf genes couldn't fight."

Lisa heaved deeply. Thankfully, it wasn't so serious. She pulled Kiara close to herself and hugged her. "Zoey would be fine, trust me. She's you, and you're strong." Once the hug was broken, Kiara nodded her head and walked back to her seat.

"Zion, Zane, let your sister rest for a few hours okay, mommy will carry you both," Kiara uttered and watched her boys let go of their sister's hand. They both came towards her and she carried them on her legs.

"Don't be sad mommy," Zane said.
