Chapter 72: Ultimate Punishment

Two days had passed since the attack at the Port of Valmore. After the pack warriors had cleaned up the plains behind the Valmore home, Alric immediately called for a meeting. He invited all prominent families, several high-ranking warriors, and all his trusted men, his Beta, Dean, and all his Gammas. Reeth’s rebel group was also invited, and they all gathered within the Grand Arena of the Port of Valmore.
In all his glory, Alric stood in the center of the ring with his Luna. His intimidating eyes scanned nearly every seat around them. Only after imposing his dominance did he announce, “It is no secret that two days ago, we were invaded. There was a breach in our territory that led to the attack by Morfran and his men. Today is to discuss who is responsible for it and what is the rightful punishment.”
Alric and Lana looked at each other before questions arose from the crowd, following the Alpha's hint.
