The house is eerily quiet, which is not at all suitable for such a big house, and Emily tells Mathew so, while following behind him with her hand held in his big rough one.

She can only expect the finest, fanciest furniture in such a house, and she doesn't get disappointed, as the interior of the house is so beautiful, the kind of elegance she has only seen in magazines.

The thought that Mathew owns this place... It is hard to believe. Why does he pretend to be so average? He even has two expensive cars in the garage he parked the car they came in, yet he often drives an average one, hiding the expensive cars away.

"You know what, Mathew," she says as she is led to a large dining room, where the rich aroma of food promises a delicious lunch being served. "I am mad at you for pretending to be so poor when you are rolling in it. It is not fun to be poor, and I feel like you are mocking us poor mortals by pretending to be one of us."
