Chapter Thirteen: Speechless

****THE ALFONSO'S RESIDENCE****

A cab stopped in front of the house and Elena came out of it, she paid the driver and he drove off before she went into the house.

"Afternoon, why are you at home?" Elena asked in surprise as she stared at Liam who was coming downstairs.

"I got off work early" he replied.

"Huh, why?" Elena questioned.

"Nothing, just wanna rest a bit" Liam shrugged, going to sit on a couch.

"Okay, guess what" Elena said.

"What?" Liam asked, curiously.

"Guess" Elena replied.

"I can't cause I won't guess it right" Liam muttered.

"Fine, I found a new job" Elena said with a smile.

"Huh...seriously?" Liam asked and she nodded which made him scoff unbelievably.

"I even thought it was something good" he muttered.

"What? It's supposed to be good news" she said.

"Good news my foot, didn't I tell you not to get another job" Liam frowned.

"Well I did" she smirked.

"I won't let you go to that work" he said.

"We will see about that" she winked before going upstairs.
