Confused

“Oh, those humans and their interpretations of our species. None of them are true except the fact that we drink blood,” he tells me. I nod slowly, waiting for him to continue his explanation. I look at Harlan and he also looks confused. My parents are just watching everything unfold.

“Okay, so we are not undead. We are living Vampires. We do age and some choose to stop aging at a certain age but we still age in mind until it is time for us to die, so even if you still look twenty-one, you may be hundred and die when it is your time. We can have children because we are living,” he says. 

“The sun does not affect us and neither does ginger or holy water or whatever the humans believe. We have enhanced speed, strength, we can compel other species and humans yet, we drink blood but we do not need to kill. We provide our people with human volunteers and they become our feeders,” he continues.
