Darren's POV

Everything I have faced in my life, I have been able to handle. There has never been a situation where I would not have a solution to my problems, it has always been settled by Karl, Dean or myself, but today, I could see how powerless I am.

I held Laura close to my heart as I tried to calm her down. I Gave her reassuring words, but she wasn't listening to me. She had cried so much, I knew it could cause a headache.

Even my reassuring words weren't calming her down. Her pain wasn't the fact that those people died, but the fact that they couldn't tell us who it was that were her real parents.

“Shushhhh” I kept stroking her back, but she wasn't stopping

“Wh…who are my… parents?” She asked me in tears. I could only pull her closer because I didn't know what else to do. I don't have an answer to her question, but I promise that I will get these answers soon.

“Who?” She cried.

“Laura, you have to calm down,” I whispered into her ears. We were still in the midst of t
