That morning, at her usual check-in to the Raven castle, Maven did her rounds and usual. In full knowledge of what now lurked in the bowels of the mountain. It terrified the old Raven, to her bones.

The old servant did her rounds, as her hands continued to tremor.

Even the chef noticed her hands during the preparation of breakfast. He decided not to ask but made a point of letting her know that the cutlery was clacking oddly as she carried plates to the breakfast table.
