I think that I have just died and gone to Vampire hell.
I am far too scared to turn around and face the man that is behind me. Now, which way shall I go? There is the incredible urge in me to just head on forward and run away, leave Roberto and Anastasia to deal with him. To be honest, it is their big mouths that got us standing here. I can now kick myself for listening to my reckless brother and my restless wife.
Needless to say, I opt to turn around and not act like a coward.
"Ethan, Connor, it is good to see you fellows again."
Connor clears his throat rather loudly and steps forward with a rather large dagger in his hand. "Now, what did we discuss about the no hunting thing?"
"It truly is not my fault," I try to explain. "It is my dear brother and wife's fault."
I stand and watch as Ethan bursts out in laughter, "God, don't tell me there are two of you?"
"Well, you shall be glad to know that he is far worse than me."
"How on earth does that make things better," Ethan only but shakes his head.
For a few minutes, we stand in nervous, uncomfortable silence. I can almost for sure say that Connor is thinking about what he can do to me. Yet, he firms his voice, "Please tell me how you lose a Vampire."
"That, my dear Connor, you will have to ask Edward. Anastasia and me were in Scotland."
"Ah, are you the Vampire that went on a bit of a rampage there, killing three in one night?"
My head snaps to Robert, and he only grins at me. Connor looks from Roberto to me and only shakes his head. "I see both of you are going to be a problem. Now since you are here, where do we find this damn boy?"
"We were just on our way inside to see if the elder is alive."
Ethan looks at me with a dead clear look in his eyes, "Sorry."
"Well, that makes it nine to go."
Just as I am about to suggest that we kept split up away from the boys, Connor pulls me by the collar and drags me to his car. I have always loved it, but never did I want to be stuck in it with two very angry Hunters. But without any fuss, I follow him, and he shoves me in the back.
As we pull off to the next house, he looks at me in the rearview mirror, "You do know that they are all going to be dead?"
"Perhaps not Claudia."
"Who is Claudia?"
"She does not live at her recorded address, so I believe that he has not found her yet."
Ethan sighs and grunts out aloud, "Perfect, how do you find a damn Vampire?"
I only but chuckle at him and point out the very obvious, "Is that not what you do?"
Connor takes his one hand off the steering wheel and reaches over to the back…and WHAM. He smacks me right against the head, "Let us just check the other eight. But, if he has killed them all, well, what is there left?"
Without waiting for anyone to answer, Connor laughs and answers his own question, "I know who the next oldest Vampire is."
"My friend, I did not know you gave up your Hunter job to become a clown. And guess what, I have you all to protect me."
"Who says I am going to protect you. And in any case, the child is just a boy."
"Yes, that I do know, but do I need to remind you who his father was?"
"We will see when the time comes; let us just hope that it does not."
After frustrating me for nearly fifteen minutes, we reach the eighth Vampire's house. Connor and Ethan exit just as fast as they entered.
That leaves us with seven.
Seven…six…five…four…three…two…they are all dead. From decapitation to limbs ripped apart. Every single elder in London has met the end of their lives. We only have one Vampire left, whom I personally have never sat right with. The man is obnoxious, and he does not live by the Vampire Code. Yet, that does not mean that the man deserves to die.
Now the only other problem with this man is, well, where he lives. The place that he calls his home is in some damn broken down house in the worst part of the city. Not really the worst part; it is that it is an area that is in total ruins, and it is well-known as an area where these gangs operate. Going into this area is practically asking to be killed.
So as I inform the boys of our destination, they look at me with eyes that can clearly shoot daggers. Ethan believes that Stefan shall not venture in such a place at his young age, while I am fairly sure that he will. The boy is on a mission, and he shall not stop until he can possess that power. I still do not understand what power he wishes to possess, for all Vampires have the same enormous physical strength and, of course, the ability to heal. Perhaps I do possess more power, but nobody apart from the family of the Belmont House knows.
We find ourselves entering the beginning of a very long and dark road. There are no streetlights, and these buildings have not seen the light in years. There is rubble scattered all over the road, which causes Connor to dodge piles of bricks all over the place. Somewhere in the distance is a howling dog, and you can see movement within the buildings themselves.
To reach this Vampire's home, we need to travel the entire distance of this road, and it shall be off on the right and then with a sharp left. The only aim is to make it down there untouched and to come back faster than we got there in the first place.
I truly hope that Stefan is not there, for this is the last place where I wish to have a battle with the boy. And that is another question to be asked, who shall be the one that brings the boy's life to an end. I guess it shall be me as the Vampire Master. Never did I quite think I will need to kill a child, even if he is a Vampire.
With this in mind, I turn to Connor to hear what his plan is; this has now become this man's show, "So, my dear friend, what is the plan?"
"We are using you as bait."
I nearly choke as my words come out as a blurt, "Bait? Why on earth do I need to be the bait?"
"Because you are the stupid one that was told not to go hunting again. And like I said, you are the next oldest."
"But," I hesitate for a brief moment. "What about you guys?"
"We are going to park down the road, and you shall walk further on to the house."
"Yes, if one of these gangsters do not kill me first."
Connor breaks out in a burst of uncontrollable laughter, "Don't tell me the Vampire Master is afraid of a little boy and a silly man with a gun."
"No, me, never. I just do not wish to mess up my designer suit."
"Ya, about that. Who goes hunting in a suit?"
I snap at him rather irritatingly, "I did not expect my brother to come to drag me into this nonsense. Now let us get this over; I want to go back to a normal life."
"Ha!" Connor exclaims, "Sebastian Belmont, normal? Have you forgot that little thing about your legacy?"
"Well, if someone can tell me what it is supposed to be, then I shall decide if I wish to entertain it."
"That, my dear Vampire Master, you shall have to figure it out yourself, and god, please don't let it be something that involves me."
"Oh, please shut it, take me for bait. This place is starting to creep me out."
So much to my horror, they drop me off a kilometer from this house. That they do not understand that I am really afraid of facing any of these gangsters, irritates me a bit. Stefan and the elder I can handle, put someone pumping bullets into the perfect muscled chest will completely infuriate me.
While I am walking, I count my steps down, which I am assuming would make up the distance that I need to travel. The dark, with should not be a problem, does seem to start to work on me now. There are corners where anything and anyone can hide. Even entering the property, if that is what you can call it, but if you enter the elder's gate, it is at least another five hundred meters to the house. There too, is a whole room of trouble waiting to happen.
With all of this in mind, I start to pick up the pace; I soon find my way by the front gate of the property. But just as I step inside, my body drops.
I have fallen into a hole, yes, a hole. It is one of those holes that you disguise with grass. Well, my ass has landed me in one. Now, why on earth shall this man have a trap at the front of his gate? Does this also mean that Stefan has not been here yet? But here is where I am being rather dim; of course, the boy can launch himself out of it, which is exactly what I am going to do.Now, if I thought that launching out was going to be the easiest thing, I should have stayed down there. Next, I hear the click of a gun that is being cocked and another one with a clip that is being unloaded then uploaded again. Yes, I have met the very men that I do not wish to have met.A welcoming group of gangsters.I guess the hole is actually aimed for them, and I have just shown them the perfect opportunity to miss it. I do hope Connor realizes that when I do see him again, that I am ripping his clever ass head off. But before I can even bring out my claws, I need to respectf
If ever there was perfect timing, then that is our dear Stefan dying and not finishing his last words. Well, could the man not have told me before I so casually drove a dagger through his heart and in so ending the only, which is believe for now, but could be the only way how we shall know what this legacy is that I shall fulfill. But, that shall be the least of my problems at the current time.I do have a rather furious, Connor Windchaser looking at me waiting to drive his own very dagger through my heart. "I suggest you start talking about this brother of yours."I only but shrug my shoulders at him not having much of a clue about his request, "My dear Connor." And that is exactly where he stops me, "My dear Sebastian, don't even think of starting to sugarcoat things. I want to know why did your brother cause such a rampage in Scotland."I turn my face in the direction where Roberto and the rest of our misfit gang are talking about our recent victory. W
We have never faced a battle after a battle in all the time that we have been finding ourselves dangling our fingers in the hunting game. It is rather an unusual battle that has been playing off, from having to hunt down a delusional Vampire, we are now faced with…Let us do think about this one, who is the battle, the Vampire which as such is my brother or it the other?Whichever scenario that I run through my mind, they both seem just as horrific as the other. So, without having to clog the mind with all these questions, we are making our way forward again. Now our intention is not to go into the abandoned building from which the cackle can be heard, no, we intend to get safely to our vehicle and then hoping that they shall follow us. This is not our playground, it is dangerous and well, fucking scary. So, back to back in our circle of six, we slowly make it through the rain down a road that, if one slips, you will find yourself sliding down. As we move
It can be safely said that we have once again survived another battle, though these were far too close to each other. Now, what else can be said, is that both of these have left us to one conclusion. There is a legacy that they are after…My legacy.Well, in all my frustration, I have no idea as to what they are referring to, but let me say this, I believe that this shall not be the last. Perhaps I have been placed as the one on the hunting block and I have no idea what they are hunting for.Though what else needs hunting is Roberto. I have not seen him since we left him behind between the abandoned warehouse. I have not, and much by the request of the Windchasers, I have not been back to search for him there. I know that he shall come out to hunt, but as for coming to what should be his home, that is not a question that I can answer.Tasha said that there is a great evil that holds him. The day when he came to us the first time I did not see any evil in h
Well, I do believe that I am about to be slapped until I cannot spell my name.I have come to my beloved for the permission to go see a Warlock to find Roberto. Now there is only one problem…"Sebastian!" I hear that sweet innocent voice echo through the room and fill the hallways. "You want me to do what?""My beloved, please sit down. If you were human you would have gotten a heart attack by now.""And," she adds. "If you were human then you would really be dead by now."I cannot help but chuckle at her as a pillow comes flying my way, thank god she is not throwing any glasses since there is no need for a Vampire to have such a thing as a glass near him anyway. But I must count my words before they are spoken, for there are lots of other dangerous things, such as a very pointy dagger that is laying on the dressing table that can find its way to me."Okay," I hear her huff as she pouts her lips at me trying to look all angry.
I am standing with somewhat trembling legs at the giant steel gate that leads up to the castle of what should be The Great Warlock, Alatar. Now I have requested of him rather foolishly to let me in, this, after I had many years ago, tried to kill the man, not on one, but several occasions did I try to claim his life. The first time that I encountered The Great Warlock was in the year 1752. I was very much set in my ways to become the most desirable man among the ladies of both the living and the dead. Now, as with most of my troubles, I will admit that I met Alatar while we were both courting the same lover. Where the problem came in, is that he was quite settled in his relationship, as I might call it, with the very said lover. Then, of course, I swept in and laid my eyes on her. From that very moment, I knew that I just had to have her. But where the difference comes between dear old Alatar and me is that I was only looking for a one-night occasion. So much to
It troubles me a great deal to know that Roberto finds him in such trouble. What is even more of a concern is why the man did not tell me the moment that he arrived at my home. For Blood Lust alone, I need to give him the ultimate sentence of them all. But there is no way that I shall send my brother to his death. Now, what is another thing that bugs me is who is after him and what is it that he is supposed to possess.Well, we have dear old Alatar that shall take us into the direction of the next danger that we shall face. The question now begs, do I attempt to do this on my own or get the help of our dear brothers. Though I firmly believe that they will not let him get out of this alive. So it seems that it shall only be the three of us that shall attempt to save Roberto from himself. What else needs saving is me listening to Alatar trying to pick up my wife. I know this is perhaps where I should jump in and tell the man to back off, but I am not yet to upset
It is with great horror that the echo of the voice of a woman comes traveling from the direction that the man with the hoody has disappeared into. The very first thought that sets to mind is that Roberto has revealed himself. I can only envision the chaos that is set to break loose at any moment. Now, this is not the place to have a battle; there are hundreds of masses. The sights of the Square lions, the Statues, and the Fountains, make Trafalgar Square an absolute popular place for tourists. So we find ourselves heading in the southwest direction. There ahead of us is a crowd that appears to be a tourist group that moves from location to location around the city. It is this very direction and the same group where the hooded man has made his entrance. With steps that are haste and a somewhat nagging feeling, we follow the same way.I shall not lie, but there is a dread of doom that settles over my body, something bad is about to happen. I am not prepared to tak
