Chapter 38

Asher's POV

"Arabella, I said come out now. I don't want to hurt you and you're already sick." I coughed a little to sound not so serious.

"Please, darling"

I heard nothing. I sighed, "Don't make me come up there, Arabella, I'm already having a bad day as it is. Please come down" my tone lowered into a whisper. I even smiled, "if you come down, I promise, I'll do anything you want"

Still nothing.

"Arabella, what is going on with you?!"

My next words failed to come out when my wolf stopped me.

"I think Arabella is gone. There is nobody there"

I rolled my eyes. Again, with the chasing.

I said no words as I jumped on the table standing next to the wall and then grabbed the handle next to the manhole in the ceiling.

To be honest, I had sensed Arabella's scent ever since but I chose to act oblivious to it. Maybe she was frightened and did not know how to handle so many people around her, which was what I hoped.

Apparently not.

My arms pulled out the cover of the manhole which came along
