Dante, point of view...

I rolled my eyes.

My parents hadn't come to the pack for years, this was no coincidence, someone informed them that my mate is a human.

It must have been Lirio, she is the one who has always been watching me on my mother's orders.

"When will they arrive?" I ask her a little nervously.

My mother used to put me in a bad mood, she detests any being that isn't a lycanthrope.

My father is a little more understanding, as a former alpha, he always wanted to bring peace between all species.

"Alpha, I believe they will arrive in two days, you know better than anyone how fast your parents are," He answers me a little nervously.

Adam also recognized the condition of my parents before the humans, many of them are hunters.

I could feel Ariana's heartbeat quicken, and not in a good way, she was afraid.

"Adam, come out, but first remember to prepare everything for their arrival," She ordered him.

I got up from my post, and sat down on the piece of furniture with my mate.

Adam had already left.

I took her by the hands, and stared into her eyes.

"Don't be afraid, I know they will like you, nothing bad will happen to you, you are with me," I told her calmly, although the truth was I was much more nervous than she was.

"Thank you," They were the only words that came out of her mouth, apparently she was too shy a girl.

She was the opposite of me.

There was another knock on the office door.

"Come in."

In walked Mimi, Adam's mate.

"Alpha, Food is already served," She informs me in a loving manner.

"Thank you, Mimi," was all I said, not taking my eyes off my mate.

We went to eat, and then I decided to go for a little walk with my mate in the garden, I think it was time to trust her a little more.
