I arrived at Brenda's quarters to see her and speak to her as Damon and Aurora suggested. Still, upon arriving at her place, I was told by her guards that she wasn't home and that she had left the fortress about two hours ago without taking any of her bodyguards with her.

I found it very weird that she would leave without talking to me first because she usually always tells me before leaving, and I also found it weird that she didn't take any of her guards with her.

I didn't have any issues with her leaving to see someone because she definitely had friends outside the fortress, and she was very much allowed to go into town and see whoever she wanted to see, but I appointed guards for her because I knew that she could get in danger while she's out there, and I didn't want anything bad to happen to her.
