“So, how was your visit to the Grayson Pack? Are things better between you and Lucas?” Layla asked almost as soon as she settled on my bed.

I had only just gotten back less than half an hour ago, and Layla somehow already got wind of my arrival and wasn’t wasting time before bombarding me with questions.

“What is it you want to know specifically, Layla?” I replied tiredly.

“Oh, come on, Luna. Don’t pretend like you don’t know what it is I want to know,” she said, playfully smacking me on the arm. “Tell me everything, because I’m dying of curiosity right now.”

“Well, I can already guess what it is you’re thinking right now, but sweetheart, kill those thoughts right this minute because none of what you’re thinking actually happened, and if I’m being completely honest with you, today only turned out to be the most embarrassing day of my life,” I told her honestly.
