Julie's struggling stopped. She, who had been trying to free herself from Oscar's foot, suddenly froze. Her body stiffened and her face changed. "A-Alpha. I-I..."

"Philo!"

Philo replied immediately. "Yes, Alpha?"

"Have you told anyone in The Palace about the attack on Era? Is there anyone in the palace who knows the exact incident that took place in the Runevale village?"

"No, Alpha," Philo replied confidently. He would never do anything without Oscar's orders, including revealing any activities or events that occurred to Oscar and those around him. Regarding the attack on Era, he clearly remembered that Julie had asked, but he had not answered. "I didn't tell anyone about it, Alpha."

Philo's explanation made Julie look even paler. Fear grew and made her squirm. "A-Alpha. I-I—"

"Are you going to deny it now?" Oscar asked again, stressing each word. The bulging veins on his forehead seemed more pronounced, as if they were about to burst. "I never thought you would betray me, Julie. Do
