Chapter 59

Waking up the next morning, I sighed deeply, feeling like a heavy weight had been placed on my chest.

The embarrassment from last night came rushing back to me and I threw my head back and groaned.

It wasn't until the early hours of the morning that I finally closed my eyes and let the warm embrace of sleep embrace me and I was already up early.

Stretching my body, I turned to the clock on the bedside table.

My eyes bulged out of their sockets as I read the time.

11:14.

That definitely wasn't early.

It was already way past his meal time and I knew there was no need rushing out anymore.

I relaxed into the bed and let my mind wander.

In as much as I still had a lot of questions to ask and things to know about him, I wasn't sure I wanted to have any more meals with him.

For the sake of my sanity.

The farther I stayed from him, the easier it would be to overcome these stupid feelings that were creeping their way into my heart.
