Undeniable sensibilities!

I raised my hand to my chin, pretending not to have seen the duo who walked in. Mother continued to speak to them like she always does. I shrugged my shoulders with indifference as I stared at my phone screen.

Without warning, I heard a loud crash and I immediately raised my head. I was stunned at what greeted my eyes. I flew to my feet with immediate alacrity and rushed forward.

"What happened to her? Why did she fall?" I asked in a low, still voice as I kneeled beside her. Every part of me was hurting and I desperately wanted to know what happened to her.

Anna shook all over with fear, fiddling incessantly with her hands. I raised my head to her, irritated at how clumsy she was acting. I wanted to yell at her but I maintained composure.

"What's wrong with you? Why can't you speak?" I snapped when I could hold it no longer.

She took a deep breath, her eyes flickering uncontrollably. "I have no idea. She never complained about anything to me," she uttered.
