Chapter 111: Getting Ready
“You think Warrick is a hybrid?” I ask. “I do.” my dad says. “What is he mixed with then?” I ask and pinch my bottom lip between my thumb and pointer finger. This is too much. “I think he is part werewolf and part demon,” my dad says, effectively knocking the air out of my lungs. I stumble back, a pained cry comes from my lips. “No. He can’t be! Demons are evil creatures, dad!”
My dad steps forward and places his hands on my shoulders. “Divina, look at me.” When I don’t, he shakes me slightly. My eyes find his and he holds my gaze. “Just because a person is part demon, does not inherently make them automatically bad. Just as you being part angel, does not automatically make you automatically good. Do you understand?” I sigh. “Yes, I understand.” Thank you for your patience! I hope you enjoy this chapter.
