Ava's POV

“Ava I have nothing to say to you, please leave my room.”

“And who the heck do you think you are to dismiss me like that?” I demanded, digging my heels, fully intending to go nowhere.

“The owner of the room you're currently permeating with your horrible smell!” Alana retorted with a disgusted look on her face.

I sneered.

“What was Alaric doing in your room last night?” I demanded.

Her eyebrows raised a fraction and I thought I detected amusement.

“Why are you asking me and not him?” She chuckled, ignoring me and returning to the book she'd been reading.

How dare she laugh at me!

My God! A mere servant was making a mockery of me?

I felt my face flush crimson.

I lunged forward and snatched her book from her hand.

“You’d better answer me and accord me the respect I deserve, otherwise you'll be getting worse than a torn textbook next.” I snarled as I grabbed a fistful of pages of the book and yanked it out.

Her mouth dropped open and I saw the hurt in her eyes.
