Lucian's POV

As we left the meeting room, I felt relief and satisfaction. Calla had done an amazing job presenting our plan to the board. Her voice was confident and her explanations were clear. I felt proud knowing we had created a solid strategy for the pack's future.

As we walked down the corridor, I noticed a change in Calla's behavior. She started to walk with heavier steps and her head was drooping slightly. I became concerned when I saw her stumble and sway. I instinctively reached out to catch her before she fell.

"Calla, what's wrong?" I asked urgently, worry in my voice. I held onto her and looked into her eyes for an explanation.

She tried to speak, but her voice was weak and faltering. It was as if her energy was drained, leaving her on the brink of collapse.
