“I don’t regret it, I don’t regret doing all I’ve done,” Luther said. “I wish I had done more. I should have killed you when I had the chance.”

I watched the lack of remorse in his eyes. It was unfortunate that even in the face of death his heart was still hard as stone.

“Do you think that the thing you bore with the catalyst will grow up to become loving and kind? No he won’t. The more he ages the more he discovers the darkness lurking underneath his heart,” Luther added, he chuckled softly then groaned in pain.

I watched him for a while. “I know…”

“You know nothing, Marcus,” Luther interrupted.

“I understand that the darkness will try to cease him as days go by but Alicia and I will be present to lead him. We will nurture him in the right way and instead of bringing doom, our son will bring peace,” I said.
