Worlds Of Confessions

Abruptly, I open my eyes and stare at the ceiling. The moonlight gleams through my bedroom window, and I sit up. Ajay's lying next to me, sound asleep. I ease out of bed and walk to Andrew's room. He's comatose, so I look in Wilson's room, and he's swaddled in his sheets.

Exiting through the kitchen doors, I walk towards the main road. Once there, I head towards the villa. I'm in the middle of the road when a black vortex, reaching the sky, opens in front of me. It's hypnotizing as I enter it.

The darkness is so thick I can touch it. After a minute of walking in sheer blackness, I end at the cliff behind the villa, and Ajay's there. She's in a wedding dress, weeping.

"Ajay," I call as I approach her.

Startled, she jumps up and starts looking all around. I say, "I'm right here, baby."

Panicky, she steps too close to the cliff and slips off. Without hesitation, I leap with her. As we're falling, she turns into a gigantic mermaid, covering a vast expanse of the ocean.
