A loud slam of the door woke me up from my tumultuous dream. I bolted up in the bed and as soon as my eyes snapped open, l saw Damien barging into the room. His features appeared pinched and frazzled as he raced the breeze. The door swung closed after the force of being brutally shoved open.

“Darling are you alright?”, He quickly approached the right side of the bed. “I’m fine what has happened?”, I rubbed the last traces of sleep from my eyes before blinking at him. Before he could answer, thunder I’mmediately rumbled outside and a gust of wind blew droplets of water into the room. “The house”, He paused and ran his hand through his hair.

“The whole fucking house shuddered”, He went on. “Because of the storm?”, My eyes flickered to the open window. Damien followed my gaze then shook his head. “This wasn’t a storm, it was magic”, He responded and his words made my mind to recall the nightmare, l just had. “I think it was caused by me, I’m sorry”, Tears we’re already brimming in my eye
