Chapter 33

Edwina's POV...

I abhorred the fact that I thought I needed to make peace with him that night and went to fuck him in his study room like some cheap stake, and after all that, he still had the nerve to ask me a question that wasn't called for.

I went back to the room sad and woke up multiple times at night, hoping he would come to bed, but he didn't. He slept in the study room. Why do I feel bad when it was clearly his fault? I wanted to make peace, and he didn't.

I am genuinely trying my best to be his wife, but he doesn't seem to see my effort one bit. I woke up when I could feel the ray of the sun reflecting on my face. I murmured and cursed out because I was aware it was only Becca that could wake me up in such a vicious manner. She is pure evil.

"Good morning, ma'am," she said with a smile on her face, but I would interpret it as an evil grin considering what she had just done. I needed more time to sleep.
