Kaileyn hissed for the hundredth time again.

" Why didn't you inform me earlier about this, Marianne?" She glowered at the older woman who only glared at her without a reply and for some reason Kaileyn didn't know, Marianne had been looking extremely stiff and angry the whole day that she couldn't even scold the woman from being silent.

" Gosh." She exhaled. " Marianne, for River to make such a hasty decision, don't you think he knows? I mean, he couldn't have just killed that dumb, silly witch without interrogating her?" Kaileyn was sweating already as the realization suddenly dawned upon her.

Marianne didn't utter a word as she'd been doing since Kaileyn started ranting.

" Are you even listening, Marianne? What is wrong with you?"

" Of course, he did. What do you want me to do about it, Kaileyn?" Marianne finally spoke up but Kaileyn's eyes widened in horror instead.

" What?" She was almost screaming. " You...you mean that bitch told River I was behind the storm incident?"
