Chapter Eighty One

JENNY’S POV

I noticed that Rita’s face fell immediately Damon said their parents were coming over in a week’s time and I couldn’t help but wonder why she seemed so moody about it. I knew for sure that if I were in her shoes, I would be very elated to know that I was seeing my parents. Even though they were dead already.

“So they are coming soon then?” Rita asked Damon, finally speaking up after a while and when I looked over at Damon as I chewed on my lunch, I noticed that they both had the same look on their faces, even in their eyes and it was very obvious that they were both thinking about the same thing. Only that I didn’t know what it was.

“Yes, Rita. I said that before, so we’d better get ready for them” Damon answered her very briskly with a tired voice before he continued to eat and it just seemed unusual for them to be so indifferent about their parents coming.
