A bond beyond death

It was a dark and stormy night. The howling wind and torrential rain kept the pack huddled together in their den, seeking comfort in the warmth of their packmates. But one wolf was restless, pacing back and forth in front of the den's entrance. It was the alpha, Wade, and he could not shake the feeling of unease that had been plaguing him for days.

He had heard a whisper in the wind, a voice calling out to him from beyond the veil of death. He could not make out the words, but he knew it was someone he had known continue in the past, someone he had loved and lost.

He knew he had to answer the call, no matter the cost. As he gazed into the stormy night, he thought he saw a figure standing in the distance, outlined against the dark clouds. It was a tall, lean figure, with long, flowing hair. In an instant, he knew who it was. It was his mate, Harriet, who had died many years before.
