Chapter 39

Alpha Arnold's POV

I stood in front of my bedroom, my heart pounding and beating like a drum as my fingers hover over the door knob while my mind tried to trick me that she was not there beyond the door. For the first time in my life I had an unfamiliar feeling; Fear.

It caused the hair on the back of my neck to stand up and my entire body felt cold even though my environment was fairly warm. I had never been afraid in my entire life, but the thought of losing her and our baby was enough for me to have that feeling that had never crossed my mind before.

Finally, I took a huge gulp of air, grabbed the door knob and shoved the door open.

And there was nobody in the bedroom.

The ground spun below my feet, and I held onto the door for support as my chin clenched up.

I should have known, that bastard rat was lying to me once again as he had done before in the past. Why had I even trusted him a second time
