Lucas kept his gaze on what was going on. His eyes were glued to Max whose body was gleaming now.

Suddenly, a bright light shone right above him in the sky as the elders continued chanting.

"Soon" he mumbled under his breath as he looked at the sky. The Moon goddess would be out soon. She was making her entrance slowly.

But his countenance changed immediately after he perceived a foul odor. He didn't know for sure yet, so he just ignored it and kept on staring at the ritual.

But he was restless as the odor became more rampant and clear to him. With a furrowed brow, he looked around but saw nothing.
