11. The betrayal
They were at Sunshine pack, at Ryan’s house. He was explaining things to Liam and Hannah about how werewolves find their soulmates while Shadow was outside playing with Lillian. Randall was out doing his rounds with Karlie while Freya was keeping an eye on Shadow and Blake.
Freya was still pretty shocked every time she saw Shadow act like a stupid puppy. Esmeralda saw her from her house and she walked towards her niece. Freya noticed her standing by her side.
“I still can’t believe what I’m seeing.” She told her aunt, keeping her eyes on Shadow.
Esmeralda giggled.
“That’s the power of a mate.” Esmeralda told her.
“If I’m going to act like that, then I don’t want to find mine.” She told her.
“Oh, my dear, when the time comes, you won’t have that choice.” Esmeralda giggled
