Chapter 24

Alpha Daniel’s POV

Aurora and I sat there drinking and giggling about anything and everything and I could swear that the alcohol was starting to kick in in our system because we were feeling so carefree. We laughed at each other until our stomachs hurt.

I had never felt so carefree, so relieved, and so normal, in a long time. It wasn’t just the drink that made me feel like this but more so the fact that Aurora was sitting next to me and looking beautiful as always. She was wearing a black dress, which complimented her golden skin well. She had helped me ease the tension and tonight I wasn't thinking of the pack or the pressure that came with being Alpha, all I thought of was how lucky I was. To be able to sit beside Aurora and laugh about things that made you happy rather than worrying about them was amazing.

“I didn't think I'd laugh so much today, talk more of this evening”, she admitted. She looked at me through her lashes and I saw her lips curved into that smile that I adore
