Chapter 61

Aurora’s POV

It was a deep slumber indeed, it felt so good and believing. Yawning and stretching on my bed, I placed my legs roughly on the floor. Then I froze, expecting the sharp pain of the sprained ankle to engulf me but it did not. I stared down at my leg in horror and surprise, slowly pushing myself up.

My ankle was completely healed and completely whole! I ran my hand over my knee, my fingers grazing the faint traces of scar tissue that had once marked the place. So much happened in such a short time that I barely had time to process most of it. It must have been hours since Zee made me fall asleep, whatever she had applied to my body seemed to work. I didn't fall asleep to any nightmare in the woods, and now my leg was completely healed.

I went over to the kitchen and to meet Evelyn we sat talking. It was only when she looked at the kitchen door that she froze.
