Aurora’s POV

The urge for solitude, to take a stroll away from this castle and the surrounding grounds was strong today, especially after seeing how beautiful it was outside - with the sun setting in making everything look even more like art than usual.

The sky was cloudless, only the faintest traces of fluffy white clouds drifting lazily across the horizon. It felt like there were so many possibilities out there in the world, where you could explore without any fear of being caught by some unsuspecting predator.

And not just any unsuspecting predator. One that had been chasing you as prey for days now. No, for weeks.

He had finally found you. You had never seen him before -yet you wanted to pretend that he didn't exist. That it wasn't in your mind, even when you knew it wasn't true.

That was exactly how I felt.

As I snuck out to the park that was close to the castle, I noticed that there was no one around. There wasn't a soul near, or anywhere close by.
