Zara's Point of View

Aláine and Kristof were back! As soon as I heard them downstairs, Axel and I came running. Callie and Kieran had heard them as well and joined us. My bestie was back!

Axel went totally apeshit when he saw her. He'd been missing her so much. Although I had looked after him, walked him and fed him, he was totally Aláine's dog. When she gave him pats, his tail wagged so much that everyone had to get out of the way.

"You're home," I cried as I tackled her in a bear hug. "You're finally home! Are you okay? Do you need anything? What can I do?"

"Slow down, Zara," she said, laughing.

I guess I did get carried away a little.

"To answer those questions," Aláine began, "I am alright but tired. I need food, a shower and sleep that involves Kristof hugging me."

"Like I wasn't going to do that anyway," he grumbled.

"And other than seeing you, Zara, there is nothing I need you to do. Noah will be here soon," she said.
